It's election season - which means it's time to develop or dust-off those political sketch writing skills! Get your late-night packet material and online sketch content ready with this sketch writing intensive is geared toward all levels.
Using the basic principles of sketch writing, you will learn how to refine those skills for topical sketches and short-form bits. In this four-week intensive, each student will have the opportunity to present and receive notes twice, leaving with one-two sketches ready for their sketch packet or to film.
About The Teacher
Megan Sass is a writer and comedian. They have written for Reductress Magazine, The NBC Diversity Showcase, Seed & Spark series F*CK YES, Heeb Magazine, and Spoiled Media. Their comedy sketches have racked up more that 3 million views on Youtube, and been featured on College Humor, Playboy Magazine, and Gothamist, HuffPo, the New York Observer and more. Their narrative projects include the television comedy pilot “Bible Park” (ISA Table Read My Screenplay Comedy Genre winner), “The Mad Scientist’s Guide To Romance, Robots, and Soul-Crushing Loneliness” (TimeOutNY NYC Fringe Critic’s Pick), and In the Middle (Coverfly Red List #1 Stageplay early December 2023). They are currently developing the show Recolonizers for the LA Fringe with Pack instructors Keisha Zollar and Andy Kimler.
